Hi
October 1, 2009
Hi
We are filled to overflowing with the success of our trip and very humbled by God´s blessing of using us to reach the lost world. We are also ready to see all of you!
Please also ask for prayer for a safe flight home - that is important. We are all still praying for Robbie.
Love,
Katie :)

Part 2 of Hi again!
Hi again!
Just wanted to let you all know that the lady in the front of us in the beach picture is Kellen, the pastor´s wife. She is one of the most powerful servants of Jesus we have ever met - His Holy Spirit just pours forth from her. We will be praying for the challenges she and her husband face in pastoring their small church, especially battling spiritism and witchcraft in the community.
Pray for our tea today!
Lots of love,
The Brazil Ladies

Hi Everyone!

Hi Everyone!
This will probably be our last email update since we have to get up around 4 am tomorrow to catch our first flight, and I doubt I will have time to write. :) We had another wonderful day yesterday, beginning with a prayer walk around the neighborhood where we will have our final Ladies Tea today- we handed out invitations and visited with some people - we will do that again this morning. We also finally saw a let up with the rain and so we headed to the beach (see picture attached). Our final event was a tea with the girls from the teenage orphanage which we hosted at Alana`s house. It was great to see the change that came over the girls after Stacey did the True Love Waits lesson. They were stiff as boards when they first arrived, but after she told them how God saw them, not as a plastic cup, or even an everyday mug, but as a piece of fine china like the one in front of them, they just melted into jello! We served them yummy sloppy joes, massaged their hands with scented lotion, made bracelets and journals with them, gave them gift bags, clothes and jewelry, and in general, just loved on them! Emily gave her testimony on the power of bondages and performed her dance. It was awesome - and it was just what the girls needed to hear, especially from someone their age. They were so excited when we told them they could keep their china teacups to remind them of God´s love for them. When it was time to go, the same girls kept coming up to us for more hugs. They were all so beautiful and sweet. See pictures attached!
Please pray for a HUGE turnout for our final tea. We love Pastor Marcos and his wife, Kellen (she is SO full of God´s spirit and both of them have such awesome testimonies) and we want to see their little church grow for God´s glory. We love you all so much and thank you again for your prayers!
Yours in Christ,
The Brazil Ladies

WOW!!!!
September 30, 2009
Hi Everyone!
WOW!!!! God is at work at we are all blown away by the power of His Spirit. It began two days ago with a prayer service for the missionary and pastor wives. We thanked them all for the work that they do and shared how inspired we are by them. We did a hand washing service as we prayed over them and it was a very humbling and moving time with lots of hugs and tears.
The next day, we went to another church to learn about the needs of the community and pray for afternoon appointments. The first house we went to was to see a woman named Josie who wanted to hear more about God and several of us (Diana, Katie, and Judy) and she kept saying, "I want to hear more." We prayed that she and her family would grow closer to Christ. At the second house, we met an older woman named Norma. She is lonely and depressed and her son doesn´t pay much attention to her. She hired a caregiver and she brought her to church and so, Norma was also open to hearing more. She lives in the most adorable house; a bit like you would envision Hanzel and Gretel´s house! When we first got there, she had her arms folded and was very terse in her responses, and as the entire circle took turns talking with her and reading Scripture to her, she still appeared indifferent. All of a sudden she stood up and said, "Yes, I want to pray the prayer." It caught us so off guard, and as we prayed with her, a look of peace came across her face and we all wept and hugged her. It was awesome!! At the third house, we met a woman named Louisa, who had been raised in a Christian home but has been drawn away from the church. Her oldest daughter recently gave birth to a son and was singing at the church, so the mother agreed to come. This daughter is also partially blind because of surgery for a recent brain tumor. Louisa was adopted and struggles with unforgiveness and we talked with her, and Diana shared her testimony, as tears began to fall down Louisa´s cheeks. We encircled her in prayer and her daughter was weeping. All three of these women agreed to come to our final tea tomorrow and we are asking for prayer for all three of them and that we have a mighty turnout!
Last night, we had a wonderful prayer service at the house of Biggie and Laurie, members of the church, who are in need of prayer and help with finances. (JR Morrison and Rick Seymour, we need your expertise for their tiny home!) We sang songs and Marlene and Patty shared their testimonies and it was the perfect end to a glorious day.
We are a bit tired, but our cups overflow, and we are all healthy and well. Please pray for us as we prayer walk this morning and then minister to the teenagers at the orphanage tonight. Emily will share her testimony and perform her dance and Stacey will do True Love Waits with these eleven girls. Please continue to pray for us - we feel it!! You guys are awesome and we love each and every one of you.
