September 26:
Greetings from Florianopolis,
Sorry this post is a bit late, but we had a slightly longer travel day on Friday than expected. However, after a good night´s sleep and a yummy breakfast, we headed out to prayer walk in the town of Forquilhinhas. It was inspirational to hear the stories of God working in the lives of the local people from Ron and Alana and we stopped specifically at certain homes to pray for them. We pray that God will bless Pastor Fernando and his church in a mighty way. We grabbed a quick bite to eat in the food court at the mall and then returned to the church for our first ladies tea. It was a wonderful success with 45-50 in attendance. Pat shared her testimony which was very well received, and Emily performed the dance she choreographed about the bondage of sin. We handed out craft kits to the ladies to help them make visors, sang songs, and finished with the drama, King of Hearts. We felt God´s presence strongly in the room during all the times of sharing and the ladies seemed genuinely moved by our stories. We are back from our pizza dinner and enjoying a carb/sugar high! Lots of laughts, lots of fun. :)
Ciao (Tchau, in Portuguese) or in dog language, Chow! (We told you, we are having a sugar high!)
